Providing a green and pleasant community space for gatherings, no matter the size.
Arranging frequent events (..when the weather allows!) for all ages to enjoy!
Nuturing and managing the plants and animals on site for visitors enjoyment.
The site of a former Village Hall, vested in trust to the parishioners of Great Munden over 70 years ago. The Village Hall was demolished in the 2000's due to subsidence and is currently being revitalised into a sprawling recreational garden for visitors (both big and small!) to enjoy.
We are 7 trustees who strive to ensure the site is interesting, maintained and harmonious. We think you'll find the gardens to be a perfect place to relax and unwind by yourself, with friends or with family!
We have all been living in the parish of Great Munden for over 50 years between us. Some of the things we do are:
Arranging events
Providing maintenance when required
Improving the gardens
Arranging the hire and fair use of the site where possible
Ensuring the highest level of safety and integrity of the site
We hold a general meeting every 2-3 months to discuss the site and the progress we've made between them on various projects. Keep an eye out on the News section of the website for more information regarding this.
The trustees would like to thank you for visiting our web page and your ongoing participation with Great Munden Village Hall and the Charity itself. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today!
