The French Club held their belated Bastille Day celebrations on 30th July at the Garden. They were lucky enough to miss the rain and feasted on a buffet of savoury pastries, crisps, many French cheeses and saucisson with French bread, macarons and delicious homemade scones with Bonne Maman jam, all washed down with white wine and French lemonade. Feel free to join the Club on a Sunday from 11.40am to practice your conversational French, and perhaps learn how to book your next holiday and dinner in France.

Also at the Garden, you can learn chess with Tim on Thursday evening at 6PM or even stretch in the sun during yoga with Josie on Mondays at 6:30PM.
We are always looking to plan much more, but it takes organisation and we cannot do it without you. If you have any suggestions, or wish to help in organising any events, please feel free to reach out to me and it will be raised at the next Trustees meeting.
We are also looking to organise various events for mothers and toddlers. If the weather ever improves and we hear back in time, we hope to organise a Teddy Bear picnic in August. We have also planted some pumpkins at the Garden and would like to encourage children to come along and adopt a pumpkin plant (near the compost heap), which will hopefully be ready in time for Halloween. We would love to hear from the mothers in the Parish with ideas and suggestions on how to help them create a local mothers’ group.
We also have many painted rocks at the Garden and we encourage children to participate in a rock exchange, please feel free to come and find a pebble and leave one with your own artwork.
Again, if there is anything in particular that you would like to see at the Garden, please get in touch.
Thank you for your support to date in attending (and helping organise) various events and we look forward to seeing you soon at the Garden.
